Rockwell Park welcomes a new Commonplace Coffee location at the Edison Building, 7514 Thomas Boulevard. The official grand opening is scheduled for Monday, December 12.
In coordination with the opening of Rockwell Park cafe, the existing one in Point Breeze at 6736 Reynolds Street will be closed.
Of the new cafe, Rockwell Park Principal Al Lardo shares, “We are delighted to have Commonplace Coffee at Rockwell Park. TJ and his team have a locally grown and proven product that perfectly matches the authentic personality of Rockwell Park. Rockwell Park is filled with creative entrepreneurs, and this new space will offer a central place to gather, collaborate on new ideas and conduct business. Arguably, Commonplace Coffee is one of the most important additions to the development, as we view the coffee shop as essential to achieve the culture and sense of placemaking and community building we are targeting at Rockwell Park.”
He adds, “We believe this space will not only allow interaction between and amongst Rockwell Park companies and stakeholders but will also allow for valuable interactions with locals from the neighborhood in a relaxed and inviting environment; fertile for both storytelling and business.”
The new cafe will be open to the public and accessible from both Meade Street and Thomas Boulevard (down a short walkway). Initial operating hours will be 7a.m. -4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. -4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
